Looking for a unique gift for your child’s teacher or babysitter or maybe a little something nice for yourself? Come to the Miracle on Mitchell Holiday Open House. This event is free and open to the public and will feature many different items from  local vendors. Great way to get a jump start on (or maybe finish) your holiday shopping.

HUNGER DRIVE GAMES

The District of National Trail Parks & Recreation is calling all tributes to volunteer for the 1st Annual Hunger Drive Games, a battle for last man standing. The games, in partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank, offers a great family friendly event. Tributes will be placed in appropriate age groups to battle in an arena set up at Snyder Park. Tributes will receive a long sleeve game shirt and drawstring bag with paid registration. Prizes will be awarded to all winners. Compete in the Hunger Drive Games and Help Fight Hunger!

Games Held: Saturday, November 22
Registration Deadline: Friday, November 14
Location: Snyder Park
Ages: 6 - Adult (participants will be placed in appropriate ages)
Registration Fee: $40 with no donation or $25 with donation of 10 non-perishable PROTEIN food items (peanut butter, canned meat, canned fish, beef stew, etc.)

FULL MOON HIKE: LONG NIGHTS MOON

Celebrate the holiday season with Santa at Snyder Park. Have a cookie, meet Santa’s Reindeer and take a picture by the fireplace with Santa. Kids will also be able to participate in Holiday crafts and fun.

Enjoy a night of fun while playing a variety of games with family and friends including board games and more. The game theme for January is the Old West. Wear your favorite western wear and participate in some old- fashioned card games. Then in February join us for Pioneer Games. Come dressed in oldfashioned garments. Dinner will be provided and sponsored by Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken.

 

COYOTE NIGHT HOWL

Coyotes are possibly one of the most misunderstood mammals in North America. The coyote is common to this
area but rarely seen. Meet a live coyote, learn interesting facts and tips for co-existence at this presentation and walk. We will also listen to hear the coyotes during this howling season. Dress appropriately for weather.

 

WINTER TREE HIKE

Get outside and enjoy winter while learning how to identify trees by using their bark and twigs. The walk will last about one hour and is appropriate for all ages.
