Youth will enjoy hands, on project based learning in the NTPRD gardens while participating in fun activities and games. They will learn all about gardening, how plants grow and wildlife in the garden during this hour-long program. Participants should dress appropriately for the outdoors.

Listen to a nature themed book while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the trails and make a craft. This program is designed for children and their adult companion.

Kids will have fun while learning about nature. This program is designed to allow participants the chance to explore things they like about nature and being outdoors. Youth will participate in games, arts and crafts and more. Participants should wear appropriate shoes and clothing for outside play. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Celebrate outdoor play with nature educational activity stations, crafts, fun and more. Learn about the wildlife that lives in the area. Meet live foxes and feed grapes to deer. All activities are free at this great family event.

Learn interesting facts about Ohio’s most common owls, where they live and how they are important to our environment. We will walk through Snyder Park and call these magnificent creatures and listen for them to respond. Please dress warm. Pre-registration is recommended.

Residents will learn the basic dos and donts of backyard composting in these informative one hour sessions, instructed by the Clark County Solid Waste District. Learn from seasoned composters what, where, and how to compost – nature’s way of recycling and turn yard waste and kitchen scraps into a valuable soil amendment while reducing your garbage and carbon footprint. The first 20 registrants for each class will receive a coupon for $10 off a compost bin purchased from the Clark County Solid Waste District (normal bin price is $40), and one lucky attendee at each event will win a FREE compost bin. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
