SPRING AND SUMMER LEAGUES   

Leagues are organized for Men’s, Women’s and Co-Ed Teams at all levels of competition. League play begins in late April. The registration fee varies due to the particular league and classification ($400 -$475 + $30 USSSA Sanction Fee). Many  different leagues, Sunday through Friday, are available at Davey Moore Park and Lagonda Fields in SpringfieldPlay ends with the Recreation Division City Tournament.  A $175 deposit will hold a league position. SENIOR  SLO-PITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE    for players 55 and over

This league is looking for new players for the 2008 season. The league begins practice at the beginning of May and games will begin the third week of May. If you meet the age requirement and are interested call Roger Hupp at 299-0820.

 

 

LATE SUMMER SOFTBALL
This program enables adults to continue to play in a softball league after the regular season has ended. Registration begins in July 17.  All spots are first come first serve. Leagues will begin at the conclusion of the Spring/Summer City Tournament, approximately late August, early September. Men's, Women's, and Co-Ed teams will be formed.

Entry fee: $325 + U.S.S.S.A. sanction fee of $30 (if not currently USSSA sanctioned) The entire entry fee and sanction fee is required at time of registration.

Games begin at 6:00pm on weekdays, 5:00pm on Saturdays,  and 4:00pm on Sunday.
There is a maximum number of eight teams per league. Teams play a seven game schedule and then advance to a single elimination tournament at the conclusion of the season. 
Leagues will play in the tournament with teams from the same league nights. In other words, Monday & Wednesday leagues will not play against Tuesday & Thursday or Saturday teams.
Male players and/or teams can play in a Monday & Wednesday League, a Tuesday & Thursday League, and a Saturday League. They cannot play in two leagues on the same night. They are also eligible for Friday Night Coed Leagues.

TEAM PRACTICES
The District’s controlled softball facilities may be reserved for practice. They may be reserved when available on a first come, first served basis, by calling the District Office 328-PARK. Only one pass will be available at a time.

 

WEEKEND SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT RENTALS
Davey Moore Softball Complex may be rented for weekend tournaments to be held mid April through Labor Day. Fields can be reserved beginning January 3 on a first come, first served basis. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per weekend is required at the time of reservation.
