A new exhibit is open at the Springfield Baseball Hall of Fame celebrating the baseball, athletic, and social accomplishments of local former big league pitcher, the late Brooks Lawrence. The exhibit includes items collected by the Hall of Fame, borrowed from the Clark County Historical Society, and borrowed from a private collection.

 Bobble Head sells to provide Stadium Scoreboard

The Springfield / Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame is selling a Harvey Haddix Bobble Head Doll with the proceeds targeted to purchase a scoreboard for the new National Trail Parks and Recreation District Municipal Stadium.

The Limited Edition doll depicts Clark County native Haddix, who is known for throwing a 12-inning perfect game in 1959 while pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Milwaukee Braves. A member of the local Hall of Fame since 1960, the year he was the winning pitcher in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, the late Haddix was a friend to all those who knew him.

            The bobble heads are limited to 1000 dolls, each are numbered and contain the Springfield/Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame logo and sell for $15. Order Form 

 

 

Nominate 2010 Induction Class of the Springfield/Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame

Nomination forms for the 2010 Induction Class of the Springfield/Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame are now available. Teams or individuals may be nominated by anyone in the Springfield/Clark County community. For individuals, the person nominated should have made a significant contribution to local baseball locally, nationally or internationally and can include players, coaches, sponsors, umpires, media members and administrators. Team nominations should be for teams that have brought recognition to themselves and the community.
