Bobble Head sells to provide
Stadium Scoreboard
The
Springfield / Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame is selling a Harvey
Haddix Bobble Head Doll with the proceeds targeted to purchase a
scoreboard for the new National Trail Parks and Recreation District
Municipal Stadium.
The
Limited Edition doll depicts Clark County native Haddix, who is
known for throwing a 12-inning perfect game in 1959 while pitching
for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Milwaukee Braves. A member of
the local Hall of Fame since 1960, the year he was the winning
pitcher in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, the late Haddix was a
friend to all those who knew him.
The
bobble heads are limited to 1000 dolls, each are numbered and contain
the Springfield/Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame logo and sell for
$15.
