Buck Creek Trail  
The Buck Creek Trail is a beautiful wooded trail, which follows Buck Creek from Plum Street through Veteran's Park then follows Warder Street to North Limestone Street, to Old Reid Park across Croft Road and into Buck Creek State Park. The 9 mile trail is paved and accessible to cyclists, skaters, walkers, and others. Parking and rest rooms are available in designated lots:  in Old Reid Park off Pumphouse and Croft Roads, in Buck Creek State Park on Croft Road, and in the Buck Creek State Park beach parking lots. 

 

 

Little Miami Scenic Trail 
The Little Miami Scenic Trail, built in 1998 and dedicated in 1999, has brought an exciting new form of transportation / recreational facility to Clark County residents and visitors. Its path, along the old Little Miami Railway, has been paved to accommodate cross country skiing, in-line skating, walking, bicycling, and horseback riding. This is the northern most portion of a 70- mile trail which starts in Springfield and travels south to Milford, Ohio (just north of Cincinnati). The Little Miami Scenic Trail is designated as part of the statewide Buckeye Trail and the North Country National Scenic Trail. Clark County’s portion of the trail begins at Jefferson Street traveling south to I-70. The trail has mile markers every ˝ mile between Springfield and Xenia.

Simon Kenton Trail
The Simon Kenton Trail connects to the Little Miami Scenic Trail at the corner of Center and Jefferson in downtown Springfield close to the Clark County Heritage Center.  It by-passes downtown Springfield as it heads north and intersects the Buck Creek Trail immediately behind the Carleton Davidson Stadium.  The trail continues north  over an abandoned rail bridge, north on the rail line past Springfield High School, under Home Road, on to Villa Road Staging area, then north to a spur which can run west to the Splash Zone Water Park to the Soccer Field Spur a spur which can run west to the Eagle City Road Soccer Complex and all the way to Urbana in Champaign County. The trail is 18 miles in length. The trail is 18 miles in length.     

 

 

Trail Etiquette:

Remember the Trail is shared by hikers, bikers, horses, walkers and other users
Use only non-motorized forms of transportation
Bicyclists should yield to all other users
All users should yield to horses
Keep right, except to pass
Announce passing to other users
Pass with caution
Move off paved trail when stopped
Please yield to law enforcement, maintenance, and emergency vehicles
Respect private property
Clean up after your pet
Observe the 20 mph speed limit
Heed all signs
Please do not litter
Read and obey all rules and regulations posted at staging areas
Persons requiring motorized wheelchairs have access to trails all vehicles are restricted to 42" wide and 96" long.
